Excellent presentation! In 1953 I was eight years of age and owning a car was beyond our wildest dreams. We had just moved into a new home with a bathroom. A bomb had fallen behind our old home devastating a huge area and stopping short of our back yard! A lucky escape! The damage done by the Luftwaffe to our town was some of the worst in the country because of the key industries of coal mining and ship building and repairing.
